After 30 days of hospitalization, volunteer firefighter Richard Gerety received a hero’s homecoming after being discharged from UC Davis Medical Center today.
UC Davis Health and Sacramento Republic FC worked together during the month of September to raise awareness about pediatric cancer. Their efforts culminated at the Sept. 26 game with the sharing of 13-year-old Riley Blum’s story of how he is overcoming cancer.
