University of California Health (UCH) comprises six academic health centers, 21 health professional schools, a Global Health Institute and systemwide services that improve the health of patients and the University’s students, faculty and employees. All of UC’s hospitals are ranked among the best in California and its medical schools and health professional schools are nationally ranked in their respective areas.
The academic health centers are UC Davis Health, UC San Diego Health, UCI Health, UCR Health, UCLA Health and UCSF Health. The Health Professional Schools provide education, training and residencies in seven disciplines: Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Optometry, Pharmacy, Public Health and Veterinary Medicine. UCH also supports the broader University of California system through clinical oversight of student health and counseling centers, and shares responsibility with UC Office of the President human resources for health benefits to eligible employees and UC SHIP health coverage to students.
