A Match Made in—and for—California
At Match Day ceremonies across California, hundreds of UC medical students gathered with family, friends and mentors—counting down the final moments before opening the signature envelope that would reveal where they will spend the next phase of their training. More than 740 UC medical students matched into residency programs, nearly three-quarters of whom will continue their training in California, helping address the state’s physician workforce needs.
